If you can't take it back and get your money back, It's a work around but
you could put the f connector on the end, buy a double female f connector
And get some rg-59 with copper braid, put an f connector on one end, screw
it into the double female coupler and make your connection using the real
braid and center conductor. on RG-59. Assuming this
Is for a 160 antenna, the losses will be minimal

Hi Barry
You have to use very good mechanical connections with this stuff. If you
will use small wire crimp-ons and in some places use a good strong small zip
tie or two along with adhesive lined heat shrink to seal the connections
then finalize the seal with some good RTV or Silicon Adhesive, you should be
gtg.
It is rather labor intensive, but works great for long periods of time and
at QRO levels as well.
I do it all the time here with great success.
