John

I have my main antenna - dipole- at  130ft  and  below is the  RX antenna , using the  MFJ -1026-  to protect my front end  there is a small fuse , that is only a 50ma 12v bulb,  before the antenna reach that fuse I add a small fast relay to protect the RX port

works for me where having close antennas

For me is better protect than pay repairs

Would like to get in touch with anyone who did own or does own a FT1000MP and has used the separate receive antenna jack for a receive only antenna while using the A or B antenna jacks for the transmit antenna. The manual does not say if it blanks the receive antenna input when transmitting. This could cause a problem with RF coming into the receive jack when transmitting on A or B on the same band. Anyone operating Top Band and using separate Rx and Tx antennas would likely have done this.
