[TowerTalk] serious noise problem

Tony:

     Obviously you missed something when you were disconnecting appliances. 
It's not likely that the breaker itself is the source of noise.  To find 
out, put your hand on the panel around the main breaker to see if it's 
warmer than the rest.  Shouldn't be.

     Did you unplug things like the refrigerator, washing machine, drier? 
Turn the ceiling lights and fans on and off and check for noise.  How about 
the front door lights?  Might you have a new-fangled compact fluorescent 
bulbs in the fixtures?  Door bell transformer?  Garage-door opener?  (Insert 
other out-of-the-box sources here.....)
