Today I received by mail a special from my Home Owner Insurance Company  
offering a Meter Based Surge Protector. It installs behind the electric meter. 
 Its installed for the special price of $22.48 by my local power company. 
Then  its $5.95 per month. It did not mention any kind of insurance discount 
to have  the device. Is this gonna really help ? Any thoughts appreciated.
