[TowerTalk] N - clamp style connector

The grommet is to weather proof the connector.  If you have the "knife edge"
type shield retaining washer (where  the grommet fits over the "knife"
edge), you will find that the grommet is split into two concentric pieces
when you apply correct torque to the retaining nut.  It adds little to the
retention of the coax.

Isn't that why there's little funky rubber/silicone grommet looking 
things in some installation kits. I always figured they're to make the 
cable "thicker" so it fits the connector.
