I use 100lb test around my dock and to guy two of my ground mounted
verticals.  Ten pound test will last about 10 minutes around here in Florida
with the sun, wind, etc.  - M

     I've read on TowerTalk that some folks here use 10# fishing line strung

above the boom and elements to keep birds from perching on their antennas.
