Like many materials the stuff comes in a wide variety of strengths and 
"springiness".  The stuff I have I use for an 18' gin pole and have had 
it bent nearly 30 degrees (when some on on the ground forgot what they 
were supposed to be doing) with no permanent set.

It's not a material I'd use without testing and knowing what to look for.
