[TowerTalk] 80-m. Inverted Vee vs. Dipole Performance

Using a tower as a support for a wire antenna is always a good idea. With an Inverted Vee you do not need another support at the same height (which makes installation possible in a lot of installations where it is imposible to have another suppport the same height). An Inveted Vee is basically an omni-directional antenna and has a different angle of radiation compared to a dipole. So, the areas of good coverage will be different for both antennas. So, it depends on what you want the antenna to do as to which one will do the best job.
