That's just about the same as I did with the "plumber's delight" 
construction except  with a larger tower I mounted it farther out giving 
me about 340 degrees of swing.

Limit switches can be programmed as in the Blue Heron(sp?)  controller, 
or they can be mounted externally on the tower leg so the arm will 
contact them before physically contacting the tower.  You do have to 
remember to allow for the coast in the arm.  With a little imagination 
they can also be mounted externally on the rotator mount.

There is also the "ring rotator"
