That sounds like RG-62, a 93 ohm coax that was used a long time ago for one of the LAN standards of the time. Center conductor is lying inside a poly tube? This coax was also used in automobile AM radio antennas ... and I've used it for an impedance transformer for a turnstile antenna. 73, Rick NM3G
