[TowerTalk] Rohn HDBX 49' Tower

These towers need to be walked up or raised and maintained with a crane or a platform. I had one to hold up dipoles and other light antennas. They stink to climb too!

I weight 165 and I climbed one ONCE to help a friend of mine take his beams off it. I found it horribly uncomfortable (no horizontal surfaces to stand on, and the cross braces cut into your boots and feet). Reaching around the lower part of the tower to connect the restraining belt (whatever it's called) for my harness was impossible. IMHO, "safe" climbing of an HDBX tower is an oxymoron, no matter what your weight.
