The shotgun is likely to shorten more elements than the birds. <:-))

I haven't lost any elements, but a group of Cormorants overnighting on 
the boom truss for my 7L 6-meter Yagi broke the truss which dropped down 
over the driven element on the tribander putting both out of business.
