[TowerTalk] compression PL259

What kind of coax are you using?  I use Belden 8267 and I have never noticed 
any melting from a soldering iron.

Because a Weller 100 watt gun usually melts the coax before the connector
gets hot enough to work.  I have a 230 watt dual gun and usually about 50%
of the time the connector is soldered
and the other 50% means you throw the connector away.
