[TowerTalk] Tower Legs in Concrete

If you are not using the concrete for a self supporting tower, why not use a
roof top platform? Poor the concrete with long bolts to bolt to the plate
so it won't move. Set the tower on the plate and build up. It's worked
here on 120' of Rohn 45 for 20+ years.
It's a lot less expensive than a 1/2 tower section and when you leave, all
you leave behind is the concrete - none of the tower.

Think of a Rohn BX tower - same thing. If the tower is taken
down/removed, only the stubs stick out of the concrete, and get left
behind. Its a taper tower. By purchasing new legs, the tower can be
installed at a new location (new concrete base required at new
location). The problem with burying part of the tower section is that
it needs to be cut off when you want to remove it, resulting in a
shorter tower.
