Can LMR-400 cable be buried without being in PVC, just buried?  - Mike

##  LMR-400DB is the direct bury version.  [ db= direct bury] 

##  Plane jane LMR-400 is not suitable for direct bury. 

The DB versions  have grease between the braid and the pvc jacket. 
Years ago, the db and non db versions were the same price ! 
I'd use the db version... even it's not being buried in the grnd, but running up the
side of the tower, etc.
