[TowerTalk] Phone Pole as beam support?

A method previously used (at another QTH) was:

Mount Two l-SHAPED flanges to the top of the pole ... one about 4 or 5
feet below the top flange. The lower flange must be large enough for
the rotor to be securely mounted on it.

Install a thrust bearing, appropriate for the mast/rotor/yagi, in the
top flange.

Mount the rotor on the bottom flange, being certain that the flanges
are secured to the pole with THROUGH-BOLTS, flat washers(both sides of
the pole), lock-washers, and nuts.

My installation stayed up for many years with no problems.. YMMV.

Enjoy!
