Hello Rob,

Been using 12 V SPDT Tyco/Potter & Brumfield relays in a couple of stub switching boxes at my station and the same is being used by Jose, N1BAA, in his station.  Actually have the stub box PCB layout used with the relays, etc. used by Jose and myself.  I run 1500 Watts RTTY.  These same type of relays are used in all my SO2R ant. switching, etc.  Also, NR4M's M/M station uses the same relays for almost of the ant. switching.

I'm writing this on my lap top and not a home to give you the exact model number.  However, the relays are PCB type and purchased from Digikey for about $1.50 ea.  Several of us in the area go together and buy a 100 at a time to get the quantity cost break.

Good luck with the stub project.

I am making an HF antenna and coaxial stub switching box.

I would like to draw on the experience of this group to help me select SUITABLE RELAYS first time round, and to avoid poor choices.

The first version of my switch will be for Field Day at 100W. I plan a second full-power version.

Suggestions and advice please!

Rob
