[TowerTalk] 80m Delta loop Question

I guess it depends on what you want to accomplish. If short contacts on 80M
are the primary goal, then lower (40/50 feet is good. I use this antenna to
excellent effect on 80 and 40M during Field Day and Sweeps. I use it for
primarily stateside contacts - but can reach the west coast from the east
coast readily on 80M at 40 feet or so.

Subject: [TowerTalk] 80m Delta loop Question

I am going to install an 80m delta loop with the apex at 90feet.

1. Is that too high?
2. I know that a 75 ohm 1/4 wavelength transformer is used at 1/4
wavelength down from the top for vertical polarization. Suppose I wanted to
use this delta loop on other bands with open wire line to a balanced tuner.
Where should the open wire line be connected to the loop to keep the
vertical polarization?

3. Does the length of the open wire line matter?
