What ever happened to the old Telco creed "No job is so important and no  
service is so urgent that we can not take time to do our work safely"?

That is one scary  show.  But I have worked for AT&T, briefly, and even on
the  business side I believe that "cheaper and fewer is better"  rules  the
roost.
