Penetrox gets hard as concrete, but Noalox stays quite 'plastic' over
a long period of time.
I use the latter to provide sealed, conductive connection between
sections of tubing in antennas.

If you want to try an experiment sometime, cover your connections with 
Vasoline.

I have used that on connections and they stay shiny for a long time.  When 
making changes, jus wipe it off.

Learned this trick from a telephone repairman.  73
