Jerry

my advice is to  replace the tips of the linear load with a flexible cable, aluminum  will break and will let you out.

the tips that you need to repair in advance are the ones that connect the second half of the element ( end)
because the insulator (black)  is not solid or tight union for the tube and the little movement make the problem

I have  a few photos of my repair that works fine using crimping connector for cable #10, yellow and a piece of very flexible copper cable
with a lot of noalox and sealed to prevent water  and later oxidation

Just purchased this beam from a ham who never put it up. Anyone have any ideas, helpful hints, "gotchas", etc. before I put it together and place on the tower?
