[TowerTalk] Antenna recommendation for a low power east

Howdy, TowerTalkians --
 
    Some years ago, there was an article in a League  publication about a 
low dipole with a reflector laying on the ground. That gave  you 2 elements 
and somewhat closer signal radiation. It was by K3LR or some  other respected 
contester. 
 
    IMO the key to success is to have more than one  antenna to choose 
from. At any time, one will out-perform the other. It doesn't  have to be a 
fancy antenna either - just get something in the air.
