Thanks for replies re the LMR 600.

Upon closer inspection  i see no designation on the cable that refers to
75ohm...so I based on XE2K's note the cable is 50ohm.  Will proceed to
install the new cable as soon as time permits.

I have some new Phelps Dodge 68-654 Quick-Tite connectors that have been in
my junk box for 25 years waiting for a new life ... hope they fit the
LMR600 ok!
