[TowerTalk] KLM 40m3 element droop

Last winter I acquired a never used KLM 40M3 (circa 1982) still in the
remains of the original box.  Now, after a couple of strokes, and various
other accidents

I am ready to put it on the tower.  Never having had a KLM I have a question
about element droop.  Is 30 inches droop from element center to element ends

normal?  It seems a bit excessive.   Also, the inserts at the element
mounting point has the thick side at the center of the element.  Would this
give a slight 

downward tilt to the element?
