Further to my posting re: Erico chemical ground rod.
I have now found more detail in a very interesting publication by Erico,
called "Practical Guide to Electrical Grounding", the answer to my
question regarding the "salts" used to fill the hollow Erico chemical
ground rod, is magnesium sulphate, MgSO4, otherwise known as Epsom Salts.
The Erico publication is available as a free .pdf download, from various
Google links.
