I was asked about the spacing of the ties. Roosting marine birds are usually large so I spaced the ties every 2-3". It was easy and inexpensive. I spaced them closer together at home because it is pigeons, doves and blackbirds that roost on the antennas. The wood pigeons are the messiest and they are large. Bigger than a gull.
Since I work and have an active life away from the house, shooting at the birds is not a viable solution. Plus, I'm not angry with them. lol
