[TowerTalk] Converting a tribander to a dualbander

Is it possible to take the typical triband yagi and shorten it some to use it only on 15 and 10m if you are limited on space?  I guess this would involve removing the element ends that are beyond the second trap on each side.  Has anyone tried this?  Is it possible to do?  I do remember reading about someone converting the 20m portion to 17m instead by shortening the element ends.
