[TowerTalk] DC ground with a 1/4 goundplane

Is there any reason why replicating the coil at the base of a Butternut HF9V wouldn't work?
A few feet of enameled copper wire, about a one-inch form (discarded), and you're done. IIRC, you can download a manual from Bencher and find out the right amount of turns.
