[TowerTalk] Tower cost estimate?

I disagree, a bit: The original question was "self supporting" and "55 to 60 feet."

Neither of the Rohn G series towers are self supporting at 55 or 60 feet, although the 45G might do it better, if well anchored and installed.

Self-supporting "affordable" towers are almost always tapered, with a larger base and a smaller top. A Rohn HBX56 is self-supporting and 56' tall and should handle this task just fine.

for only a 6 meter ground plane at 55-60' the rohn 45 would be way overkill. even rohn 25 would be way more than is needed.

Hi all, I need to get a rough estimate of what it would cost to install a ground mounted, self supporting 55 to 60 foot tower, supporting a 6 meter ground plane.

Cost would include... say a run of LMR400 with proper tower and cable grounding and an entrance panel. Would Rohn45 be up to that task?

Location; up in the hills of northern New Jersey.

Thanks for your help,
