One  of  the  "interesting" thing you can look for these days is boots
that  have  non  metallic  rigid shanks, basically they are kevlar, or
fiberglass  (cheaper  ones)  and the like.  It probably won't make any
difference  to  you,  but  when you have to go through metal detectors
with your boots on...
