May I suggest you put it out to bid on Uship (www.uship.com)?  It's a service that allows independent contractors (and freight brokers) to bid on moving stuff - anything from pets to heavy equipment.  I recently shipped some farm equipment and it cost me 1/3 of what was quoted by regular interstate movers and heavy equipment moving specialists.

You need to have specific date ranges and origin/destination to put it out for bid on Uship, but there's no obligation to actually accept any bid.
