Thanks all for the info. I really appreciate it.

Now I'm thinking a manual winch with brake and drive it with a drill motor. The Fulton K series seems to come up often in conversations about winches, specifically the 2550. How is that reconcilable with my lift weight which works out to about 4300 (single line) lbs? I plan on a two line system which brings it to circa 2200 lbs. The highest rated Fulton I see is 3700 lbs.

Or how about a specific suggestion?
