Paul,
I have been using the C-4XLD for ten years. It has held up well under normal conditions. With a little help from my local Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagles, and various Hawks, three element tips have broken. I installed the 40-meter relay box and it gives me all of 40-meters. I enjoy having all bands (40 through 10 meters) on one boom. Good luck in your quest.
Semper Fi,
Tommy - K6YE

As you might imagine, not all my neighbors are happy about me putting up a tower; most don't seem to care, but there's always one... What sold the city on giving me a permit was the fact that I can retract when not in use. So if the price I have to pay is more frequent cable maintenance and replacement, so be it.
Looking at the Force 12 line of antennas.
