What’s wrong with some 14 ga UF cable and a weatherproof outlet box??
The transformer thing will be much more sensitive to resistance, since the current drawn for any given load is 5X that at 120V!
There will have to be a splice, since the wire comes in 250 ft rolls.
You can buy 1000 ft, but it’s unreasonably expensive to have lying around.
Alternatively, you could run a branch of the fence to the 250 ft point and charge from there.
This fence isn’t for bears, is it.
