There's more than one HexBeam?

Yeah, several commercial ones with different prices and performance and 
DIY versions, some copying and some not copying the commercial ones.

Wanna see overdone egregious money wasting?  Take a look at the DX 
engineering one, especially the  central "spider".

If you aren't a pure appliance operator and can handle light DIY work, 
build your own from the available plans.  Shucks, Leo even posts plans 
to build your own if you don't want to go with his K4KIO version.
