Thanks. I need to do some measurements and will report back.

yes, greenheron does ramp up/down when starting and stopping the rings which
I like, especially on larger antennas.

check to make sure that you have motor voltage coming out of the control
box, you can also measure the resistance to see if the motor seems to be on
the end of the wire before you go up. getting a replacement or a repair
depends on Carl. I have been waiting for a year for him to reply about a
replacement for one that I have that is getting flakey.

check the yaesu to be sure you are reading the pot in the rotor at the box.
but typically the controller motor for the pointer is what has failed. if
you pull the connector out of the back of the controller and the needle
doesn't go full ccw then its likely the controller. and yes, a greenheron is
good for that one also.

I have three TIC Rings. They all have the digital display. Is it still a
good idea to convert to Green Heron?

Also, I took a lightning hit some time ago, and the top ring (at 120 feet,
on 150 foot tower) went dead. The display looks okay, but no action on
tower. I have not climbed to investigate. If motor is toast, is there
someone who can fix it?

The top rotor (Yaesu 1000DXA) turns, but the controller does not move the
pointer. I suppose a Green Heron might be a solution?

Thanks.

now you are just trying to ruin the market... I was able to sell a couple of
mine after I converted to greenheron. I still have a couple I couldn't sell
and was thinking of trying again!

I have a large quantity of analog meter TIC ring controllers. Some work OK
and some need a little work to get them going again.

I need to find a new home for them (I converted to all Green Heron
controllers).

I am willing to box all of them up (20+) if someone will take them (one
lot). You can have them for free - just pay for the shipping.
