[TowerTalk] 160 meter antenna thoughts.

Carolina Windom 270 ft long divided 90/180 was good on 160m. Mine was a 
little low but performed pretty well, especially considering the cost. With 
a tuner it worked most bands rather well.

I have never found an inverted V on 160m to be a good antenna.  A 1/4wl
wire vertical is great, even with a moderate ground system.  If you do not
want to mess with ground radials a vertical dipole in a "C" shape from the
same top support also works well.

Inverted Vees work very well. With the apex at about 1/4 wave and
about 90 degrees between the legs, they are almost perfectly
omnidirectional.
