So you want to take a Hy-Gain antenna throw away the boom, element
brackets and matching then fabricate a new boom and element brackets?
What is the point? In my opinion the element tips are very weak. I think
it is easier to start from scratch but if you really want to use the
Hy-Gain elements it is easy to adjust the taper of an existing design
using the W6QHS algorithm.

Hi
I wonder if anyone has modeled a owa antenna using the existing element taper
an diameters from the Hygain series 105,155,205 antennas
I have several of these I would like to make them into owa design for the
bandwidth by eliminating the mast to element bracket insulating the element
and inserting an appropriate size piece of tubing inplace of the element to
boom bracket an adjust the spacing I do plan to update the booms to
48ft an
3inch od for the 3 higher band antennas Has anyone every considered this
Im not real sure where to look on the net There is not much out there
