Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] Mosley Antenna Question
Why are you comparing a 4 element mono band antenna to a 3 element Mosley tribander and then wondering why the Moseley comes up short? ??While I'm at it here is the 52 ohm RG-8 you earlier said during your earlier vomiting, errm I mean rant, ?has not been made since the 70s.?http://www.belden.com/techdatas/english/8237.pdf

## simple. 4 el mono is 6.0 dbd per eznec. (204-BA). Using a stepped attenuator on RX, that is switched in 1db increments, turns out that the mosley 33jr with no attenuation on RX provides the same signal strength
as the 204-BA with 10 db padding dialed in. 6-10 = negative 4 db. My conclusion is the 33jrs not only doesn’t have any gain at all, its actually –4db.
## that RG-8 on ur url is strange stuff...has a 13 ga center conductor. Most 213 u has a 12 ga center conductor. Foam coax has a 10 ga conductor. My 393 teflon coax has a 13 ga conductor.
