I have RG-218 on my 106 foot crankup tower.  RG-218 is even bigger than 
LMR-600.  When I lower it, I form the coax into large
(10+ feet diameter) loops.  It is suspended from a Kellems grip
on an arm at the top.

Works perfectly.
