I had a 3-turn loop/coil laying on the 45G flat top plate.  It was wound 
like a clock spring allowing close to 600 degrees CW and nearly twice 
that CCW  for cases just like this.  How it ever made it around CW to 
pulling the cables tight, I'll never know.
