[TowerTalk] 40 metres yagi - Your advice matters

Do what you like, but I am very content with the "shorty forty" two element
that is on my Force 12 6BA. I got it in part because of the limited
windload on my (conservatively rated) tower, but I must say, I am extremely
content with the performance.
Even two shortened elements gives you a very big leg up on everyone else.
I worked VU7 on my first call very early on after I bought it, finished up
WAZ with it, and basically haven't looked back. I get about half the band
for BW and that seems to be plenty. I have missed nothing I needed. I
don't think I would want the complexity of 3 or 4 elements, especially full
sized, on 40.
