[TowerTalk] Cushcraft 40-2cd or XM-240 to 30 meters?

I can't find the details of my conversion at the moment but in a
nutshell I removed the
capacitive hats, extended the tips as far as I could (6 inch overlap),
rewound the loading
coils to, I believe, 11 uHy on a 12 foot boom. It's a DE/REFL
arrangement verified with 4nec2.
I use a helical beta match to match 50 ohms. Adjust tips, as required,
for best gain or F/B;
your choice.

I have it side-mounted with HAM-4 rotator at 50 feet.

GL and 73,

Kris N5KM

Looking for anyone who has converted their cushcraft to 30 meters? If
so..what the dimension changes you used were and how it works.

Thanks.
