Consider a Moxon rectangle.
Less space than a dipole, directivity of a 2 element beam. Light weight
and easily home-brewed. Also look at some of the spider beams. A few
cheap crappie poles, a hub and some wire. Also lightweight and smaller
than a full size dipole.
