This URL refers back to a 1985 QST article by W0MHS.
This seems to be the oldest published information
on this design. In this article, the author freely
admits there is no technical basis for this design.
When he does get into technical areas, he makes
nonsensical statements such as that the design
is a "magnetic loop". No. It's all testimonials.
There's no there there.
Subsequent articles that build on this article add
little technical basis for the performance claims.
The principle discussion seems to be based on the
antenna providing a good match on a lot of bands
without a tuner. That's nice, but no discussion of
the pattern, etc. With today's autotuners, it
is no longer necessary to sacrifice other antenna
parameters to worry about matching.
