[TowerTalk] US Tower seized gearbox

My HDX589  gearbox takes one quart.  $22 is not a big investment for a 
better gearbox lube.
I also noticed a big diff in the heat generated also.  Used to get hot 
to the touch after raising
and lowering the tower.  Now just warm.

If it is, then the large diam pulley on the gear box should easily turn by hand.....with no belt. Then just the motor requires replacement. That’s a long shot imo, even with one or both bearings trashed inside the motor, but you never know.
