... and how to put up a true "balanced" antenna. Yes, if you have an area like what David - K1TTT has you might succeed but I live with too many trees and housing surrounding the shack.


For now, I leave it as is as I do get out a good signal and nothing of importance enter the shack. I believe the answer is true academic as you will have current induced in the feeder as the antenna is unbalanced by nature.


Thanks anyhow. The discussion has been interesting. I will return with the data on my "ground choke".

It's like putting lipstick on the pig -- don't even bother. Instead, 
install a balanced resonant antenna.
