Doesn't help on band noise, but when I lived in the big City, it helped with man-made QRN. Maybe I better keep it?
Yes, I'm in the Santa Cruz Mountains, 5 miles from the nearest town, but
with neighbors all around. About five homes within 500 ft of my primary
TX antennas, several within 100 ft of the ends of my Beverages. One of
them has a noisy solar system, which I hear mostly on 6M. That's what I
hope to kill with the ANC4.
The ANC4 (and the JPS branded one) are not wonderful, but they do work.
An important warning -- they should NEVER be placed inline with the TX,
because their carrier-sensing system that switches between TX and RX
produces nasty IM (clicks, splatter). I plan to use one at the RX
antenna patch point of my K3.
