        Tower manufacturers are  insurance driven companies. They're in the 
business of minimizing their risk  exposure and will not give out any 
information that isn't absolutely necessary. 
 
        The factory admonition to  change the cables and pulleys every 3 
years is a weasel clause. That is, if  something happens to your tower and you 
didn't follow their guidelines, they can  weasel out of any responsibility.
