Placing the 40M dipole parallel with the boom is the best approach if you can get it up 6 or 7 feet above the TH-11.

Otherwise you can try to load the boom on 40 meters. You attach the shield to the center of the boom and then tap the center conductor out on the boom by using a gamma rod. I don't have the details but perhaps someone on this reflector knows where to find the article about how to do this.

##    Mount the dipole in line with the TH-11  boom.   Easy to mentally add  or subtract 90 degs.  Then u end up with zero interaction. You can also easily get to the 40m choke balun, coax, feedpoint etc.
